Figure drawing artset pro

God I love life drawing ๐Ÿ™‚ here’s another experiment!

I hope you enjoy looking at her as much as I enjoyed creating her.

Take from it what you will.. An image can speak different words to everyone, don’t you think?

A fleeting moment, charcoal artset pro

Artset pro, charcoal ๐Ÿ™‚ hope you like! It’s like a tendril of memory…

Oil pastel sketch

As for you girls, you must risk everything for Freedom, and give everything for Passion, loving everything that your hearts and your bodies love. The only thing higher for a girl and more sacred for a young woman than her freedom and her passion should be her desire to make her life into poetry, surrendering everything she has to create a life as beautiful as the dreams that dance in her imagination. โ€“ Roman Payne

God I’ve not tried the oil pastel for a while, this is on artset, quick sketch to test the waters, wanted to keep it quick, strong and dynamic.

More practice needed to get back in swing of oils, I’ve never favoured them really as I like the softness of pastel usually but it’s good to switch things up ๐Ÿ™‚ bit of gel pain thrown in.. Just cause I felt like it lol

Strawberry watercolour on artset

โ€œThere is a story of a woman running away from tigers. She runs and runs and the tigers are getting closer and closer. When she comes to the edge of a cliff, she sees some vines there, so she climbs down and holds on to the vines. Looking down, she sees that there are tigers below her as well. She then notices that a mouse is gnawing away at the vine to which she is clinging. She also sees a beautiful little bunch of strawberries close to her, growing out of a clump of grass. She looks up and she looks down. Continue reading

Cartoon emotionย

I wanted to try something different. A simple cartoon type image but not a caricature. Wanted to TRY have not too much detail but to convey emotion.

I love big hair in cartoon women, I hope that’s not what she is upset about ๐Ÿ˜›

Artset app, no stylus. I do rather use a stylus but trying to change it up. Mix of charcoal, marker and paint at end for the dramatic highlights. I do love my contrasts.

I hope you like.

Happy painting

Self portrait in Green

When I look in the mirror, I am slightly reminded of self-portraits by Durer and by Rembrandt, because they both show a degree of introspection. I see some element of disappointment; I see a sense of humour, but also something that is faintly ridiculous; and I see somebody who is frightened of being found out and thought lightweight.
-Robert Winston

Ok so after yesterday’s hour-long pose, I decided to do same length one again this evening.. Actually I went about an extra half hour, cause I did more detail than I thought I would -when it was working hehe.

Really enjoyed doing this…It’s on artset again. I know- addicted!! I’m just loving it. I don’t think I’ve ever done as much daily drawing.. Yeay ๐Ÿ™‚

Added bonus is that it looks like me.. Sure it’s not perfect, but there is no doubt it’s me dances

Self portraits are handy as you are always there to model! Do you ever do any?

Let me know, share a link in comments, I would love to see ๐Ÿ™‚

Happy weekend ๐Ÿ™‚

Pastel Figure

I am not bound to win, but I am bound to be true. I am not bound to succeed, but I am bound to live by the light that I have. I must stand with anybody that stands right, and stand with him while he is right, and part with him when he goes wrong.

Tonal Figure study

A glimmer of light cannot truly be seen without much that is dark, and darkness cannot truly be felt without shadowy forms rising from the blackness. (Anonymous)

My favourite type of drawing is always focusing on light and shadow. Continue reading
