It’s been a week of being stuck in front of computer or vegging in front of telly/cinema screen. I needed to hold a pen in my hand and create something even if it was a quick scribble.
So scribble I did, behold my lady drawn on ruled paper with a biro as that’s all the materials I had in my work briefcase lol
I like her! i hope you do to! Tonight I am off to the Blog awards where I’m shortlisted in the arts and culture section. Very exciting stuff! Not a hope of winning I’m just going to sit back and enjoy! Like this lady but with more clothes 😛
Have a great day 🙂
They say that somewhere in Africa the elephants have a secret grave where they go to lie down, unburden their wrinkled gray bodies, and soar away, light spirits at the end. -Robert R McCammon
Thanks to Tracy at Daily WIP for the reminder! It’s nothing fancy just some art therapy really of a dreary Monday 😛
What’s your favourite animal? I’d love to know 🙂
Added bonus pic is below of me being caretaker for a day in Chang Mai at Patara Elephant farm. They rescue and care for elephants, dream come true for me! They make you wear that extremely flattering outfit 😛

As for you girls, you must risk everything for Freedom, and give everything for Passion, loving everything that your hearts and your bodies love. The only thing higher for a girl and more sacred for a young woman than her freedom and her passion should be her desire to make her life into poetry, surrendering everything she has to create a life as beautiful as the dreams that dance in her imagination. – Roman Payne
God I’ve not tried the oil pastel for a while, this is on artset, quick sketch to test the waters, wanted to keep it quick, strong and dynamic.
More practice needed to get back in swing of oils, I’ve never favoured them really as I like the softness of pastel usually but it’s good to switch things up 🙂 bit of gel pain thrown in.. Just cause I felt like it lol
Art is not the application of a canon of beauty but what the instinct and the brain can conceive beyond any canon. When we love a woman we don’t start measuring her limbs.

The thing women have yet to learn, is that no one gives you power. You just take it!

I am a big fan of the lovely Inari Designs. Check her out she is awesome!
On one of our many chats over blogs I saw she had collaborated with another artist on working from a painting. Great Idea i though! I’m in. I have never painted a bird before so we picked out this lovely Owl photo and today is where we both reveal our finished painting… Continue reading
The Rally car circuit is a big deal around here. Guys love to get in there n join in the races, do up cars and have the craic. Sometimes there are tragic accidents and this painting is a tribute to a man that died doing what he loved, racing. Continue reading
